3D Printed Mushroom Lampshade To Light Up Your Life!

Another lithophane lampshade that I designed and made with the Anycubic Predator 3D printer. I used a picture that I took from a hike in the forest of three mushrooms. Using the “It’s Litho” software, I created the 3D STL file and moved it to PrusaSlicer to create the Gcode file for the printer.


When the light is on you see incredible detail from the photo. There’s a lot of three dimensional data stored in the texture. When the light is out, its a pretty low key surface that draws you in for a closer look.

Western Redwood Cedar Kayak Paddle

My one piece western redwood cedar kayak paddle is now “finished”. I carved this paddle from a single piece of cedar because I wanted a kayak paddle with some character. I used hand tools except for sanding the finishing coat.

The Milwaukee M18 Fuel Electric Chainsaw Versus The All Weather Cyclist!

Let’s go bicycle lumberjacking and test out the Milwaukee M18 Fuel electric chainsaw!

This saw made short work of everything I tried to cut. The lithium battery ran all day on a single charge, hundreds of cuts. Best of all, it fit in a day pack!

Highly recommended! Truly one of the ultimate trail tools!
