I wanted to share my design for a 3d printed desktop planter. This is version one. I have seen many plant wall installations at different businesses around town and thought why not attempt to bring some of that green life to my workspace.

The foam blocks are used to deliver moisture to the plant “wall”. Each foam block has a wicking rope passing through it and will wick water from the reservoir at the base. The reservoir didn’t end up being water tight so I gave it a thin coating of clear UV resin. I will add more walls in the slicer.
I had some trouble with the overhang at the top, so I will add more supports in the next 3d print.

I have a 10 watt LED grow light overhead. This should be plenty. We shall see what kind of plants are suitable for this planter. Thanks for reading.
